Las Vegas Cabby Secrets
Tips for
Saving on Las Vegas Casino Rates
1. Save Time and
Money-Brand New!
The Hack Attack's
Vegas
Hotels Motels .com! We've assembled
an avalanche of resources to help you get the best deals on Las Vegas hotel
rooms. Check it out...It
is really helpful.
2. Use the
toll
free 1-800 numbers
for all of Las Vegas' major resorts, hotels, and casinos, that we've included
in our web site, to comparison shop. Hotels are often very competitive
on their room rates, so shop around!.
3. Say "I'm calling
from L.A.". Hotels are fairly arrogant in their approach to national
travelers, because they feel that these people are either going to come to
Vegas or not and a few bucks off a room for a night won't sway anyone's decision
to visit.
However, access to Vegas from
Southern California is so convenient, that the casinos sometimes offer specials
to try to lure Southern Californians on an impulsive decision. The casinos
just love compulsive people!
4. If you get a great deal,
Book It! You can usually cancel later. Most casinos offer a very liberal
cancellation policy, but be sure to ask, just in case.
5. Don't be afraid to
apply leverage. From reading the at our
Travel
Center, you
should already know a good deal when you hear one. Use this bargain
rate to barter with the hotel desk person.
The casinos do
NOT want to lose a customer to a rival
casino.
6. Many casinos have
"unadvertised specials". These special savings are just for the asking,
but you MUST ask for them to get them. Just ask the desk person,"Have
any package specials for_____?"
7. Avoid the major
conventions at all costs! When a convention of 20,000 people or more
are in town, rates at a hotel that were just $40 a night now can jump to
over $200 a night , almost instantly. If possible, plan your trip to Las
Vegas around these conventions, they occur more than you may think (probably
every 2 weeks or so!), especially during the months January-April. Check
LV24hrs for
Las
Vegas conventions
for the dates you're planning your visit.
8. Plan your Las Vegas
trip for the least expensive times of year. June through August are very
good times for room rates. However, for the very best deals of the year,
the 2-3 weeks right before Christmas see the casinos virtually trying to
give rooms away to fill the almost empty hotels. Seems that time of year
people are spending money on something other than gambling.
9. Hotel package deals
are a great way to save money if you plan on eating out and/or seeing a show
while you're in town. For one low price, a package typically includes
meal comps, show tickets and drinks, and can be a very good deal.
Call
the
casinos for
details. Just call and ask the reservations operator if they
have any room/show/food "package deals"..
10. Join casino slot clubs.
Even if you don't play, just being on the casinos' mailing lists gives you
one more powerful resource for savings on rooms. Many casinos now
offer online sign-up. Check our search engine at
711Vegas.com
for the casino
websites.
